EVA
The EVA (Enhanced Ventilatory Assistance) insufflation technology, developed by Palliare, consists of a pressure controller to deliver a targeted and controlled pressure into the lumen or cavity of interest

This Advanced Technology uses a detachable pressure sensor deployable on the tip of any endoscope to measure pressure within the cavity to automatically adjust pressure by injecting additional flow when it sees a pressure drop, regardless of whether such a pressure drop arises from a leak or from suctioning.

A second part of the EVA system comprises a vacuum system attached to a veress needle which may be inserted into an adjacent cavity during partial or full thickness resection into that adjacent cavity. A pressure sensor attached to the needle allows automatic activation and deactivation of suctioning from the adjacent cavity if it exceeds a pressure level set by the endoscopic surgeon. This ensures that gas leakage into the adjacent cavity (via leak or diffusion) does not cause an undesirable pressure rise.
